Web ADI vs. ADI Client
This documentation provides an architectural and functional comparision between Web ADI and the ADI client
Oracle Applications Desktop Integrator (ADI) - Architectural Comparison
Oracle Applications Desktop Integrator (ADI) - Functional Comparison
* Expected to be released soon through Web ADI
** Available through General Ledger in Oracle Applications release 11.5
*** You can only monitor requests in Web ADI. The publishing capabilities of the Request Centre will be incorporated into a new web enabled reporting product.
Is Asset Wizard not available yet for Web ADI? I am using Oracle Apps 11.5.9 and Web ADI 11i and Asset menu seems to be missing. Could someone clarify?
Posted by on 07/02 at 01:29 PMNope, the assets upload still isn’t there in the 11.5.10 vision demo instances in Singapore, so looking like vapourware still.
The request centre functionality is now available in 11.5.10.Posted by Jo Davis on 07/26 at 05:09 AMIf you are looking for Excel based uploaders to Oracle Applications, our company produces advanced “ADI” like tools for the AP, AR, PO, and PA modules.
We use a web interface and the tools are extremely easy to use and deploy.
There are demos on our website and you are welcome to download and try out the software.Posted by Bruce Doig on 02/19 at 07:24 PMHi,
I would like to know whether we can attach supporting documents with Web ADI.
We can do this from Manual journals, but I am not sure whether we can do it from Web ADI..please share your knowledge..
thanks
SriniPosted by on 04/20 at 07:07 PMSrinivas, I don’t think you can add attachments in Web ADI. You would have to upload the journal first and then add an attachment within Oracle Applications
Posted by Richard Byrom on 11/18 at 01:38 AMHi, I am new to Web ADI and absolutely i have no idea on WEB ADI.
i have a requirement in AR to update the collectors information at the customer site level. i would like to know how it works and please share if you have any documents or the process of doing it.Thanks in advance,
KiranPosted by on 08/06 at 04:15 PMIs the above comparison still valid (as of 2nd Sep 2008) or has there been any additions to the WEB ADI version - Ramdas
Posted by on 09/02 at 11:52 AMHi, we’re looking at using Oracle GL, WebAdi looks like a tool for uploading data to GL (Templates / excel etc) but I cant find anything on how to extract and analyse GL data.
Current GL functionality allows jv upload and high quality data extraction using a similar concept to flex fields. Can anyone advise on what products I should review for the data extract / analysis piece ?Posted by on 10/22 at 03:28 PMYou should look at GL Wand.
http://www.excel4apps.comThis does reporting and more recently you can also upload Budgets and Budget Journals.
