Generate your Flexfield documentation

Popay offers a free documentation generator for the flexfields of Oracle’s eBusiness suite. More information can be found on the website, and a sample of the generated output for the hr flexfields of the Vision instance is present.

The Documentool software, free as in beer, consists of two packages, and the flexfield documentation is generated via a concurrent program.

1. Hi,

   I have tried the same in my internal instance but
   after submitting the concurrent request the output file did not display any flexfield information, the below was the output generated.

   I downloaded treepad viewer but of no use.
   I could not get the desired output.

   Please help me in this regard.

2. Hi,

   can you send me the ascii file, so i can have a closer look.

   Is it a fresh install, without any additional flexfield setup done? In that case, it will document nothing, since nothing has been ‘changed’.

   If you want to see flexfields defined by Oracle, a small code change is required: remove the filter on the user accounts, like SYSADMIN and ANONYMOUS.
