A day in the life of an Oracle Applications Consultant

Oracle ERP in French

Gilbert Leblanc, a fellow Oracle Apps Consultant and Blogger has recently launched an Oracle ERP Blog in French. The blogs goal is to share Oracle Applications knowledge. The amount of French I know is dangerous but I’ve found that if you download the Google Toolbar it can roughly translate French in to English for you - really cool. All the best Gilbert!!

Gilbert has also joined OracleAppsBlog - you can read his membership profile here or if you’re a member you can e-mail Gilbert via the profile e-mail console.

  1. In fact, I’m not a consultant. Only a humble accountant who worked for 3 years on an Oracle ERP implementation. I learnt so many things about Oracle Applications (CP, GL, CM, CR) that I decided to start a blog to share them. ITToolbox asked me to blog for them but they wanted it in English. There is so much literature in English and so little in French, that I decided to launch a blog in this latter language.

  2. Apologies for the mistake Gilbert - good to know a bit more of where you are coming from.

  3. I faced some problems using Yahoo or Google toolbars and e-business suite, the pop up blocking blocked the j-initiator as well on Win XP (arabic) platform

  4. Shahzad, your problem can easily be resolved. The google toolbar popup blocker is site specific. i.e. you can deactivate it for sites/URL’s where you want to allow popups. Simply access your Oracle 11i URL and before you launch Jinitiator enable popups. The toolbar should remember what you have done and next time you access the 11i instance the popup (Jinitiator activation) will be allowed
