i am trying to install oracle apps 11.5.10 version on celeron 1.8ghz, Intel 845gl chipset,1gb ram and 160 gb harddisk.

while installing in the middle it is shutting down and restarting automatically.

can i install apps on the above said configuration or do i need to upgrade my system

Your hard disk space is fine, I guess the culprit should be your processor. check whether the celeron processors are supported in the oracle installation giude.....

Also check all these things all the time before you start with the Installation,
1) Memory requirements
2) Space requirements
3) CPU requirements
4) System requirements
5) Stage area availability

This is the general checklist that i follow, and the same i have recommended you....
