Position Description
Oracle Financials Functional Consultant
The Oracle Financials Functional Consultant (FinancialsFC) will be
focused on delivering full life cycle implementation services for the
firm’s clients. The FinancialsFC will focus on business process
improvement, re-engineering and hands-on configuration activities
associated with the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i. The
FinancialsFC is expected to be a subject matter expert on four or more
application modules within the Oracle Financials Suite (GL, AP, AR, FA
etc.). A solid understanding of accounting theories and practices is
highly desirable.

Position Responsibilities
*Responsible for all phases of full life-cycle Oracle Financials
implementation i.e. Requirements Definition, GAP Analysis, Process
Modeling, Data Modeling, Report Mapping, Application Configuration,
System Testing, Procedure Development, User Training
*Responsible for project planning, estimating, tracking and reporting
*Responsible for Financials process design and application
configuration. Will work with end users to map Financials standard
processes to the business needs of clients.
*Responsible for gap analysis between the Financials Suite and client
business requirements. Will develop technical specifications for
*Responsible for Financials modules during the Conference Room Pilot.
Will prepare data and scripts, test the application, document and
resolve gaps, etc.
*Responsible for final design approval and configuration of Financials
*Responsible for leading the testing effort and coordinating changes
for Financials modules
*Responsible for training development for users of Financials modules
*Approximately 50% travel required

Position Requirements
*Five plus years consulting experience
*Three plus years hands on experience implementing Financials
*Industry experience in finance, manufacturing, distribution, order
*Hands on experience with four or more Financials modules
*Ability to map business requirements to applications modules
*Familiarity with reporting tools
*Experience with EDI a plus
*Experience with engagement scoping and estimation
*Experience working with senior level management and end users
*Excellent communication & interpersonal skills (both verbal and
*Excellent attitude, accountability, and ownership
*Excellent documentation skills
*Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
*CPA or related accounting certification preferred
