I am newbie to 11i apps, I have installed 11.5.2 on solaris (Single node installation).  Do i need to run all the post installation steps mentioned in the docs.  However the docs does not indicate that it is for Single Node or multinode ??  Any inputs will be great…

Generally, Yes. Do not skip any steps however trivial it may appear. If it is not explicitly mentioned, it would be applicable to both Singlenode as well as Multi node.
