Required Skills

1.Oracle DBA and Oracle Applications requirements: 

Senior DBA support for Oracle Database 9i and Oracle e-Business Suite Applications 11.5.10.2
Ability to support Oracle running on HP-UX 11.11, Linux, and AIX (in 2010). 

a. Including ability to develop and execute UNIX scripts

b· Must have production database support experience and used Oracle MetaLink for SRs

c· Experience deploying and debugging PL/SQL

d· Oracle e-Business Application Systems Administration

e· Stellent Content Management experience is desirable

Database administration responsibilities:

·Proactive monitoring, alerting and problem resolution for our production database systems and Oracle eBusiness

Applications and on request support for the same in our test environment.

·Monitor for runaway tasks on forms server (currently scripted to send email)

·Handles support issues for the daily business operation

·Clear database locks when notified by alerts or operators.

·Responsible for database usage, activity, security, and performance of databases under the Unix, Linux and Windows

based servers to make sure system run at the health level.

·Execute documented procedures to support databases and applications and assist in the creation of additional

support documentation. 

.Perform database clones in test following Client’s process.

.Perform patching of test and production instances following Client’s process.

·Manage Oracle e-Business Concurrent Jobs, Forms, and Web server processes

·Define, maintain and actively monitor the database operating environment including search strategies, access
methods, record relationships, data compression techniques, hardware and software efficiency, tuning techniques,
changes in usage patterns and alternative design strategies to assure data security and maximum performance

·Control and communicate changes in the database structure or content to relevant personnel to provide a
satisfactory level of database service

·Participate in a daily operation turnover, including phone conferences with Client’s DBA group to go over planned
tasks and issues

·Be available to share knowledge of Oracle technology with Client’s DBA staff via phone, email or problem ticket. 
Problem tickets are managed via the Heat ticketing system.

·Research and apply ringmaster patches and Oracle upgrades for all databases and applications
Resolve port connectivity issues with Oracle MWA

·Support and Monitoring Oracle Sev 1 SR.

·Advice and assist applications personnel in the design, implementation and maintenance of database systems

·Predict the effect of new applications and application changes on the database and to recommend alternatives

·Document the network and VPN options for providing database connectivity and security for offsite resources. Also provide information on security procedures to ensure information sensitive to Client is limited DBAs administering Client resources.

·Assist with the setup and confirmation of VPN and network security for proposed resources that are part of this SOW.

Position: Contract

Experience: 5 - 8 years

2 SQL Server DBA requirements:

Experience of Microsoft SQL Server 2005
Expertise with Windows Server 2003
Experience with SharePoint WSS or MOSS is desirable
Experience with MS Project Server and Portfolio Server / SQL Server analytics is desirable
