Hi gurus, I would like to know if I can create automatically the Item Number based on the Item Category and then selecting the last sequence in that.At least suggesting that in the Item Master Number field.Can you advie how to do this customization?thanks in advance

yeah, you can do this using forms personalisation.

you’ll have to use one of the post triggers which fires after item category is populated

We can write a piece of pl/sql code to generate the Item number sequence and map that code to a function created in Oracle EBS. we do have an option in Item catalog category definition page to map a function for item number generation. There you can map this function which will generate item numbers automatically.
