I am new to Oracle Applications and have questions around report development and customization.

On Windows:
I have Oracle Developer Suite installed. I downloaded an existing report from UNIX and made changes, along with a .pll file from UNIX. When I open the report on Windows, I keep getting the following error:

REP-0756: Warning: Unable to find PL/SQL library ‘xyz’

I have both the rdf and .pll files in one location, yet I see the error. Can someone suggest me where I need to copy the .pll file to, to resolve the issue

Secondly, when I move the rdf to UNIX, what is the command to compile it on UNIX.

Hello,

When you work for Oracle Applications, you must to download libraries from sever to the local machine, you also must to configurate the paths for REPORTS_PATH enviroment variable, so the REPORTS_PATH must has the libraries (pll’s). So, when the Oracle Reports open the report already know the path for libraries.

When you upload the report to UNIX, you only must put the file in the correct directory, without to compile anything.
