Google begins to takes on Microsoft Office and looks like it might be ready to take on Flickr as well with the release of Google Spreadsheets and potential release of Google Photos. Some YouTube fun with Larry Ellison, Oracle scquires Israeli Supply Chain software company Demantra, its 20th acquisition since Peoplesoft and it’s still looking for more companies to swallow – SAP says it’s not going to take the same approach. Gartner says Oracle RDMS market share is now 48.6%. A podcast on Metalinks My Configurations and Projects feature and an announcement by the OAUG of an alliance with the Australian Oracle User Group (AUSOUG).
